Players of the Week (3/14)
ALL-STAR BALLOT STILL OPEN!! VOTE NOW!!!
Posted: March 20, 2010 9:15AM; Updated: March 20, 2010 1:30PM It was a set of lopsided Tier 1 games this past Sunday, as St. Joe's, Villanova, and DCCC all notched big wins over their opponents. Some of the top offensive performers were big parts of their team's win, with each notching five points and thus significant parts of their squad's output:
St. Joseph's University
#24 Chris Martin (F)
Martin continues to produce in a big way for the Hawks. The St. Joe's forward scored 5 goals against Widener as the Hawks rolled. Martin further extended his league leading goal total, and pulled into the point total lead as well.
Villanova University
#14 Ben Briston (F)
The Wildcats topped PSU by a wide margin, and Briston had a fantastic night. The Nova forward tallied 2 goals, but also assisted on 3 others. If Briston can continue this kind of production, the 'Cats will be very dangerous in the playoffs.
Delaware County CC
#15 Pat Gardner (D)
Gardner was the set-up man on Sunday night. While he did tally a goal, he assisted on 4 others as DCCC beat Drexel 8-2. The Phantoms playmaker spread the wealth around, finding four different teammates on each of his assists.
